Crystal Reading
A Crystal Reading is an in-depth psychic reading from Kate Tomas which combines the traditional use of the Tarot Cards, with the ancient art of Crystal Casting. Using both these Divination techniques together, allows for a much deeper understanding of any issues raised, and more importantly, immediate advice as to how to take action to effect change quickly.
Crystal Reading Session
A Crystal Reading with me begins with a first ‘Spread’, or selection of Cards. I describe, interpret and explain to you what each card means and what I understand the significance to be. I am Clairaudient and Clairvoyant, and understand that I can ‘hear’ Spirit Guides. For this reason, Tarot Readings with me are particularly accurate and full of specific details, as I’m not only reading the order and combination of the cards, but am also able to hear the guides tell me exactly how each card is to be interpreted.
After this first spread has been read, I will ask you to select three crystals from a bag of 21, or select them myself if having a Telephone Reading, and intuitively place these three stones over the spread of cards, with closed eyes. The cards that these crystals are placed on, give us great insight into how best to move forward with the particular situation being explored.
Crystal Reading with me are in-depth events; rather than just one spread of cards, giving you a basic overall reading, we will work with between 3 and 5 separate spreads, each one looking in detail at significant parts of your life.
Because I have an excellent knowledge of each crystal’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual Healing Properties, I will explain to you in detail, the significance of each Crystal’s position; why the crystal ended up there and how its particular energies can help you move forward.
Tarot
Reading Tarot Cards is an ancient form of divination, using a pack of 78 symbolically illustrated cards. The cards themselves hold no power or special energy, rather, it is the images printed on the cards that the Tarot reader understands, interprets and translates into a particular meaning.
Some of the cards depict particular experiences that we will all go through at some point in our lives. Others portray the details surrounding these experiences and describe particular emotions, feelings, thoughts and actions. The combination, and most importantly, the order in which these different cards reveal themselves in a reading, combine to tell a particular story.
Crystals
Crystals are minerals that have grown in and on the earth often over many thousands, and even millions, of years. The property that makes crystals so amazing, is that they vibrate; they have a tiny natural movement, and it is this vibration that affects the human body, and that crystal healers utilize to heal. Some people are able to actually feel crystals vibrate – it feels a bit like a pulse.
Each different Crystal has a different vibration; the vibration of quartz, will differ to that of Amethyst for example. Crystal Healers use different vibrations to treat different problems and disharmonies, as different vibrations affect and resonate with particular parts of the physical body as well as with certain emotional energies.
Intuitively picking Crystals from a selection is a highly effective tool; as it allows the subconscious to tell us what we need to heal. Picking Crystals and placing them intuitively onto Tarot Cards that tell of particular situations, gives us direct insight into what we need to be doing to support the positive outcome of any particular process, as well as which Crystal will support us through the coming months.
If I were to pick Rose Quartz, from a selection of 21 different Crystals, I would understand that what I needed most was the vibration Rose Quartz offers; loving, soothing and comforting energy that supports the Heart Chakra. Depending on where I intuitively placed this Crystal, I would understand that this energy was specifically needed with regard to a particular area of my life.
How Crystal Reading was developed
I developed this Reading technique which I have called ‘Crystal Reading’, after many years of offering both Tarot readings and Crystal Healings, and seeing how brilliantly they complimented each other.
On so many occasions I would see how someone who came for a Tarot reading was actually in real need of help from Crystals, and would end up recommending a particular stone based on what I had heard in their reading. I became excited about the connection between the information gained in a Tarot Reading, often about how and where to make changes in one’s life, and the ability of Crystals to encourage this change and healing in people.
With this in mind, I developed a feature for Spirit & Destiny Magazine in 2007, called “Gems of Wisdom”, where photographs of 28 different Crystals were shown on one page, and the healing abilities and energy qualities of the Crystals were described on the page after. People were asked to think of a particular situation in their lives they needed help with, and choose two or three crystals that they felt most drawn to before turning the page to read the explanation as to each Crystal’s healing powers.
The idea was that people would intuitively be drawn to whichever crystal they needed most in their lives at that point. The response from readers of the magazine was phenomenal; everyone seemed to have a very powerful reaction to the feature; choosing crystals intuitively that they found out after turning the page, worked exactly to heal and support change in the area they needed it most. I recognised after such a great response, that this was a very powerful way of working.
It seemed a natural development to create a Reading where the Crystals were not only ‘prescribed’ as aides to problems, but where they also acted as divination tools themselves; giving extra insight and information into the situation. And my Crystal Reading is the product of this.
How I work with you
I work from a very strong belief that there are very few things in any person’s life that are ‘fated’ or certain to occur. Rather, I believe that we may have an ‘outline’ or ‘blueprint’ for our lives; made up of particular events and experiences that we chose before our birth. How we react to these experiences; the decisions we take, the thoughts, feelings and then actions we take create our day-to-day reality.
What this means is that we have the ability to change our futures to a large degree, by changing a particular belief, and therefore our feelings and thoughts. The moment our perception of the world changes even slightly, when we decide to act or not act in a way different to our usual course of action, we shape our future.
When we are emotionally involved with a situation, we often get distorted impressions of what is happening, and confused about what we should do. This is when a reading by someone totally objective, and with the ability to hear the guidance of Spirit Guides, can be of immense help.
What a reading with me offers is emotional detachment, not in the sense of being cold and unfeeling, far from it, but rather I am in a position of being able to see the larger perspective.
